What Photos and Plans Should You Send for a Landscaping Quote?
A simple checklist for giving landscaping and outdoor-service providers enough information to understand your project.

Take photos that show the whole work area, not only close-ups. Include the relationship to the house, boundaries, side access, gates and any existing outdoor surfaces.
Add dimensions where you can
Approximate length and width measurements help establish scale. For structures or surfaces, note relevant doorways, steps, level changes and fixed objects that affect the usable area.
Include plans you already have
Builder plans, site plans, landscape plans and marked-up screenshots can provide useful context. You do not need to create professional drawings just to make an initial enquiry.
Show what you like
Inspiration images are useful when they communicate materials, layout or the feeling you want. Explain which part of each image matters so the reference is not misunderstood.
Describe the complete scope
Mention every service you are considering, even if some stages may happen later. This helps identify dependencies between landscaping, fencing, decking, pergolas, turf, tiling and paving.
